Susan Moffitt

Research Associate

Susan is a teaching artist whose expertise spans many creative disciplines.  Having taught individuals from age three to one hundred and three, she is adept at designing and implementing curriculum to meet diverse needs. Inspired by raising twins sons on the autism spectrum, she has garnered global attention for her insightful writing on the challenges neurodiverse individuals face personally and educationally.

Susan is a board member and Associate Artist Director of The Theater of Possibility, a drama program for individuals with autism and other neurological differences. As a member of the highly selective Teaching Artist Training (TAT) based in Seattle, Susan is learning cutting edge methods of making K-12 education more engaging, equitable and culturally responsive. 

In her free time she loves to take in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest wtih her young adult sons, paint and write poetry.
