Measuring Our Marketplace

We are a PK-8 independent day school in Seattle. Seattle is experiencing lots of population growth and we want to make sure we know what the market is — values, interests, where to find mission-fit families, etc.

We also need to conduct our enrollment check-up every few years to make sure that the tides aren’t turning and that markets are materially shifting. It’s important to do this to get ahead of the game. The proposal and comprehensive nature were appealing to the Board. Everyone appreciated the clarity and what the outcomes would be. They also liked the personalized attention that Connor Associates provided. We received great service.

Connor Associates: A True Partner

Mike is flexible, available for phone and personal interactions. A true partner, Mike is someone we can easily access. We appreciate the quality of relationship, the timeliness of hitting deadlines, etc. We’ve received positive responses from insiders at the School, including the Board, regarding their experience with the research and directly with Connor Associates.

Benefits Immediately Realized

The outcomes from the Survey, Competitive Analysis, Enrollment Feasibility & Forecast, and Perceptual Study absolutely changed things. The admission process was positively impacted.

Our admission numbers are already up in inquiries or admission.

The research reinforced our whole child approach and that we weren’t messaging it. Further, it showed what constituents cared about and who we are to them, what we do for them, what they should expect and not expect. Very helpful!

The work helped solidify that our curriculum was going in the right direction, with programmatic enhancements and what to look at in the future in areas like facilities.

Research That Reinforced and Revealed

The value of the research was worth it! One, it gave us peace of mind. Two, it allowed us to get ahead of the curve and not be blindsided.

For example, the research showed we can predict where bus lines should be added.

It was also worth it in terms of reinforcing what we thought we needed to do, assess areas of growth, and ensure there is effective communication about our school.
