Her educational brand marketing expertise is nationally and internationally recognized for delivering award-winning, results-generating work. Her creative spirit blends art with Connor Associates' strategy to produce visually compelling brands that stand the test of time. Liz’s work as Creative Director and Brand Strategist with Connor Associates have earned several gold and silver medals from the American Marketing Association.
Liz Cherry founded Cherry+Company in 1981 as a full service integrated marketing firm. In 2003, she added an educational division that integrated brand marketing with educational consulting providing innovative and comprehensive marketing, development and student enrollment solutions for the independent school and university market. Today the company’s educational client list includes more than 350 schools and universities across the globe. Clients also include both national and international educational associations including FCIS, ACSI, FACCS, IACCS and AACSB.
With nearly three decades of brand expertise, Ms. Cherry’s dedication and commitment to excellence has culminated in a well-earned reputation for delivering compelling, award-winning creative work. Past honors include numerous national and regional awards from the Tampa Bay Advertising Federation, Admissions Advertising Awards, American Communications Professionals, Print Industries of America, Neenah Paper Company, National Marketing and Communications Awards and Florida Print Industries.
In just the last three years, Cherry + Company has garnered seventy Admissions Advertising Awards for the brand work they have produced on behalf of their educational clients. Most recently her work with Benchmark School, an LD School in Pennsylvania, earned a Gold Award from the 31st Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report.
Ms. Cherry has been a featured speaker at conferences and panel discussions sharing her expertise and experiences on Brand and Educational Marketing. In addition to her professional career and achievements, Ms. Cherry has given generously of her time and talent to a number of charitable community and state organizations including the Governor’s Mentoring Initiative, The Governor’s Neighborhood Environmental Action Team, The Pinellas Education Foundation, Heartbeat International, the Tampa Metro YMCA capital campaign and Tampa Bay Watch.
She has served on the executive boards for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement and WorkNet Pinellas. She currently serves on the board of Hands On!, the regional council for the Dali Museum and the Advisory Board of The Center for Excellence in Digital Communication.
