Connor Associates Strategic Services, LLC (CA) has been retained to conduct Enrollment Feasibility and Five-Year Forecasting Research for York School, a college-preparatory, independent day school for grades 8-12 in Monterey, California.
Connor Associates and York School have partnered before and this effort will continue the strategic enrollment work started in 2011.
Since 1959, York has built solid reputation as the leading college preparatory school on California’s Central Coast. The combination of a classic liberal arts curriculum and innovative teaching methods provide excellent academic preparation for collegiate studies.
The 225 students at York benefit from individualized attention and small class sizes. According to Head of School, Chuck Harmon, “York is the optimal environment for students to grow and learn and produce a record of success in school, in work, in further academic pursuits, and in life.”
100% of York students are accepted to college – on average 38% of graduating seniors are recognized by the National Merit Program.
The York learning experience does not stop at the classroom door; it extends to the playing field, the art studio, and the performance stage. York offers 18 Varsity athletic teams and 27 performing and visual arts classes. Inside and outside of the classroom, York students benefit from exposure to new ideas, cultures, and individuals in a socio-economically, ethnically, and religiously diverse community.
York attracts students from 25-30 middle school, charter school, and homeschool programs throughout Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties and around the world. The school is committed to advancing their mission to inspire and prepare a diverse community of creative, independent thinkers.
