Fordham Prep (NY) Retains Connor Associates for Extensive Alumni Survey

Connor Associates Strategic Services is pleased to announce a partnership with Fordham Preparatory School, a Catholic, all-male, Jesuit college preparatory school in the Bronx, New York.

Fordham Prep’s commitment to education is shaped by the spirituality and pedagogical tradition of the Society of Jesus, founded in 1540 by St. Ignatius Loyola.

The School stresses the development of excellence in the whole person: intellectual, religious, social, emotional, and physical. Their educational apostolate is strengthened by their affiliation with the local, national and international networks of Jesuit secondary schools.

The School hopes to be able to share this survey instrument with all 54 of the Jesuit pre-collegiate schools in the United States.

Excellence in teaching and learning has been a hallmark of Jesuit schools since the founding of the first school in 1548. Cultivation of the intellect, which is at the heart of the academic enterprise, has always been recognized as a means for uncovering truth, discovering meaning, building character and striving for the magis. Magis refers to the philosophy of doing more for Christ and therefore doing more for others. It is an expression of an aspiration and inspiration.

Fordham Prep’s emphasis on excellence in teaching and learning is reflected in the careful selection of faculty and students, the design of curricula balancing the humanities and sciences, and their commitment to an educational program which responds to and anticipates the challenges of an increasingly complex global and technological society.

Through a comprehensive Alumni Survey, Fordham Prep seeks to build qualitative and quantitative evidence of excellence in teaching and learning, a key tenet of its current Strategic Plan. The survey will collect important information about the School’s value, positive outcomes, and evidence that it is truly serving its mission.

Surveying our alumni is a must for developing and enhancing connections and relationships with our alumni and for providing valuable feedback on how our mission of faith, scholarship and service has impacted their lives.
